  1.f4   e5 The Fromm-gambit against the Bird. 2.e4 Since I play the King's gambit myself, I want to be at the other site of the board! 2... exf4   3.Nf3   d6   4.d4   g5 Introducing the Kieserietsky d6 makes it the Fischer variation 5.Bc4   Nc6 g4 is the move here but then I get the Muzio gambit, which I don't like with the black pieces. I wanted to castle queenside as fast as possible. 6.O-O   Bd7   7.Nc3 I forget I always play Nc3 myself as white to prevent black from castling long. I can't move my queen due to Nd5 7... h6 Terrible! Another pawnmove 8.e5 I think this is too early. Since I cannot castle queenside I'm totally paralyzed. He should have build up the pressure and start squeezing. 8... Bf5   9.Re1   Nge7   10.exd6   Qxd6   11.Nb5   Qd7   12.c3   O-O-O Pfewww, I felt like Houdini. 13.Bxf7   Nd5!   14.Bxd5 He hasn't anything better. 14... Qxd5   15.Qb3   Qxb3 Not a good move, but since he was much higher rated I wanted to simplify. 16.axb3   a6   17.Na3   Na5   18.Nd2 Threatening Re5 18... Nc6   19.Nac4   Bg7   20.Nf3   Rhe8   21.Bd2   Bf6   22.Rxe8   Rxe8   23.Re1   Rxe1+   24.Nxe1 I'm probably better here with the bishoppair, but with little time on the clock I didn't want to be too ambitious. He's good in both blitz and endgames. 24... b5   25.Ne5   Nxe5   26.dxe5   Bxe5   27.Nf3   Bf6   28.Kf2   c5   29.g3   g4 My lack of endgame experience shows. 30.Nh4   Bxh4   31.gxh4   h5   32.Bxf4   Kd7   33.Bd2   Ke6   34.Ke3   Ke5   35.Be1   Bc2   36.b4   cxb4   37.cxb4   Bg6   38.Bc3+   Kd5 1/2-1/2
